Baraza By the Fire (BBF)

Baraza By the Fire (BBF) 500 500 Interface Uganda

Most of us live in societies that are torn apart by our differences; where assumptions and biases have created division and conflict. Thus, some of us have taken up extreme stances and positions; and closed down in our positions on these matters.

As a result of these biases that are entrenched and embedded in us, our societies are developing deeper rifts and polarization.

At Interface, we are convinced that one of the ways to (instead of the only way to) heal all this is through heartfelt, meaningful and authentic conversations. We seek to create space where people do not feel stifled and unable to have conversations that really matter. We are persuaded that there is need to figure out how to talk to each other, in a way that can convey passion without conflict, and where people can listen to challenging ideas or others with a completely different viewpoint and learn from the experience.

What is Baraza By the Fire (BBF)?

This is what Baraza By the Fire (BBF) is about. A platform that seeks to provide open and safe space for conversation pertaining to faith, religion and culture, and how these three facets affect and impact on public life. BBF is free and accessible to all people irrespective of race, religion or any other social differences.

We meet at every last Thursday of the month.
